Silver tarps are the most pervasive type of poly tarp, and we carry silver poly tarps in large sizes, just in case you need a polyethylene tarp to cover a large area. Large silver poly tarps can be used as a large truck tarp, as a baseball tarp, or as a large construction tarp. All large silver tarps have the same properties as any other poly tarp, including a 14 by 14 dernier count and thickness of 12 mil. As these tarps are used for larger jobs, however, the grommets are spaced adequately if a large silver poly tarp needs to cover a large area, with grommets spaced 18 inches apart. The size range for our large silver poly tarps goes from 2500 square feet with a 50 by 50 foot tarp to 10,000 square feet with a 100 by 100 foot tarp. As tarps can be used to cover almost everything, covering a large area can be necessary, as well. Baseball tarps are one popular use for large silver tarps, especially as a muddy field from rain can actually cancel several days' worth of games. To protect the field from rain and only cancel one game, a large silver tarp can be rolled onto the baseball field in a matter of minutes and, as baseball tarps typically are lined with chains or weights on the edges, the tarp doesn't need any sandbags to hold it down.
