Boats aren't the only seasonal water vehicles that can be covered by a tarp. Other watercrafts can be covered by a poly tarp during winter months. Similar to boat tarp coverage, poly tarps used to cover other smaller water vehicles are heavy duty polyethylene. Each heavy duty poly tarp is also UV and rot resistant, both of which are particularly important when protecting a water vehicle. Long term exposure to UV rays can cause paint to fade and plastic parts to crack and protecting a boat or watercraft from UV rays will prolong its lifespan. In addition, the breathability of a polyethylene tarp used to cover water vehicles allows moisture to not accumulate below the surface and cause mold, mildew, and dry rot. Instead of shrink-wrapping a boat or watercraft, use a boat tarp to protect it for the entire season. With a boat tarp, air can circulate underneath the tarp, water won't seep through the surface, and UV rays won't damage the surface of the boat.
